Shelly Corbett “Going Home”
Shelly Corbett continues to create”otherworldly” images
Shelly showed her underwater figure photography with Linda Cannon and was known for her sensual baroque images. Instead of collaborating with models in a pool, she is now shooting toys in a landscape. The result is still a strange and different world that we are invited to peer into. These works are fun, but they are also provocative, moody and sometimes sad, as with “Going Home” that shows Princess Leia on her journey to the unknown.
We have five new toy photographs mounted on board and treated with an encaustic surface. We also have a few rare prints, actual Chromogenic C-prints, from the underwater series. Shelly also created four small 8×6 works that are $125 each.
